Ellie Zarrabian, M.A., Ph.D. Candidate
Founder
Ellie has learned her skills as a holistic practitioner through higher
education, travel, psychotherapy, body work, meditation and shamanic
practices.
Background
Born and raised in Tehran, Iran until the age of eight. Ellie and her
family left their native country in 1979 because of war. They moved to
London, England and lived there for over four years before migrating
to the United States in 1983. Because of her own early experiences
with war and trauma, Ellie specializes in over coming trauma, resolving
conflict and learning to live in peace. Her vision and the mission of
centerpeace is to promote peace through healing the mind/body split
found within the individual as well as the community at large.

Research Center, San Francisco, CA, 2009; Master of Arts degree in
Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, Orinda,

Body Work
Certified Massage Therapist, Los Angeles, CA, 1991. Ellie worked as a
Physical Therapy Aid in a Chiropractic office then went solo and began
to apply and incorporate body work and shamanic healing practices.
Working with the body has helped Ellie understand how people store
trauma and pain in certain areas of the body. Through therapeutic
touch, guided imagery and breathing exercises she has assisted people
in letting go and releasing age old trauma stored in the body.
Travels
Ellie began her travels in 1992. She visited sacred sights and met with
and studied with individuals who practice the traditional healing arts of
their region. She has traveled to Israel, Egypt, India and Peru. Africa is
next!

holding classes for beginners interested in meditation. She has an
extensive background in Sufism and Sufi spiritual practices. Her main
teachers are Michael Beckwith (AGAPE International Spiritual Center),
Rumi, Hafez and Jung. She has been involved in her own therapy and
analysis since 1994.
